Tuesday's Stripe payout holds three days of sales

Stripe's standard US schedule pays out two business days after a charge. Weekends and bank holidays do not count as business days.

So Thursday's charges arrive Monday. Friday, Saturday and Sunday charges all arrive Tuesday, together.

Say you take ten $40 charges a day, $400. Monday's payout is Thursday's $400 less ten fees of $1.46 each: $385.40. Tuesday's is $1,200 less thirty fees: $1,156.20. Neither is "a day of sales", and anyone matching bank lines to days sees Monday short and Tuesday far over.

A Monday bank holiday pushes everything one more day, so Wednesday's payout holds four days.

Match each payout to the charges Stripe put inside it, not to a calendar day. Every line in that list is explained in the Stripe payout breakdown guide.
