1. What Conciliq is — and isn't

Conciliq checks your Stripe payouts. With a restricted, read-only Stripe key it reads your Stripe activity, works out whether each payout matches the charges, fees, refunds and disputes behind it, and tells you when something doesn't add up. It never moves money and never writes to your Stripe account or your accounting system.

Conciliq is not accounting or tax advice, and it is not an accountant, bookkeeper or tax preparer. You remain responsible for your books, your financial statements and your tax filings, and for checking anything Conciliq shows you before you rely on it.

2. The free check

The free check at /audit reads a restricted (read-only) key or a Stripe CSV export, computes a report in memory and keeps none of your Stripe data. It is provided as-is, for information only.

3. Your account and your Stripe key

You need an email address to sign in and a restricted Stripe key with read access to connect. Only connect a Stripe account you're allowed to access. Keep your email inbox secure, since that's how you sign in. You can revoke the key in Stripe at any time, which stops our access at once.

If you connect a Stripe account that isn't yours — for example, as a bookkeeper connecting a client's account, or by sending a client a connect link — you confirm that the account's owner has authorized you to do so, and that you'll remove the client when that authorization ends.

4. Plans, trials and billing

Conciliq has a free plan and paid plans, priced on our pricing page. New accounts start with a 14-day trial of the paid features, with no card needed.

Paid plans are billed in advance, monthly or yearly, through Stripe, and renew automatically until you cancel. Prices don't include sales tax or VAT, which is added where it applies. If we change a price, we'll email you at least 30 days before it applies to your next renewal.

5. Cancelling and refunds

You can cancel at any time from the Billing page. Your plan keeps working until the end of the period you've paid for, and then moves to the free plan. We don't give refunds or credits for partial months or years, or for time you didn't use, except where the law requires it.

6. Acceptable use

Use Conciliq only for lawful purposes and only with data you are allowed to access. Don't try to disrupt the service, get around its limits, reverse-engineer it, or use it to process data you have no right to process.

7. Accuracy

We work hard to get every figure right, but the checks depend on what Stripe's API and exports report, and on the service being up. A check can be late, incomplete or wrong. Treat alerts as a prompt to look, and confirm anything important in Stripe itself.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Conciliq and its operator are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data or goodwill, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the service. The service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind. Where liability can't be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the three months before the claim.

9. Changes and ending the service

We may update these terms. We'll post changes on this page and email you about material ones before they take effect. You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or end access for a breach of these terms.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
