1. What ReconcileAI is — and isn't
ReconcileAI helps SaaS founders understand and reconcile their Stripe revenue against their bookkeeping. It surfaces gaps, computes SaaS metrics, and drafts plain-English summaries. It is a decision-grade tool — built to help you see your numbers and act on them — not a tax-grade system of record.
ReconcileAI is not a substitute for professional accounting or tax advice, and it is not a certified public accountant, bookkeeper, or tax preparer. We never guarantee that your books are correct or complete. You remain responsible for the accuracy of your books, your financial statements, and your tax filings, and for reviewing anything ReconcileAI produces before you rely on it.
2. The free Stripe audit
The free audit at /audit reads your Stripe data using a restricted (read-only) key that cannot move money. It computes a report in memory and stores nothing. It is provided as-is, for informational purposes only.
3. Connecting your accounts (paid product)
When you connect QuickBooks and use the paid product, ReconcileAI can propose entries that reconcile your Stripe activity to your books. Writes to QuickBooks happen only after your explicit approval. You review every proposed change before it is committed; nothing is written to your accounting system without your say-so.
You are responsible for keeping your Stripe and QuickBooks credentials secure and for the activity that occurs under your connected accounts.
4. Acceptable use
You agree to use ReconcileAI only for lawful purposes and only with data you are authorized to access. You will not attempt to disrupt the service, reverse-engineer it, or use it to process data you do not have the right to process.
5. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ReconcileAI and its operator are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the service. The service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the three months before the claim.
6. Changes and termination
We may update these terms; material changes will be reflected on this page. You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these terms.
7. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of [governing law — owner to set jurisdiction], without regard to conflict-of-laws principles.
